Ahmedabad: The fifth phase of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi led 'gaurav
yatra', aimed at highlighting the state's pride, would begin from Porbander on
October 16.
Party sources said in Ahmedabad on October 12 that the 'yatra', which was delayed
due to the on-going 'Navratri' festival, would cover rural Saurashtra and end after
two days at Sihor.
The fourth phase was flagged off from Ambaji temple on October 5 and culminated in
Surendranagar district, the next day.
Meanwhile, police sources said the security sanitisation exercise was carried out
during the last two days in view of the growing threat perception on Modi's life and
apprehension of violence in public places.
