New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam will visit Arunachal Pradesh on October 13 to lay the foundation stone of a proposed ropeway project at Tawang Gonpa.

During his two-day sojourn in Arunachal, the President would visit the Tawang Monastery, War Memorial Site and the Abode of Dharma, a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.

The President would interact with monks, nuns, school children, teachers and representatives of different organisations, it said.

Kalam would also be given a presentation on the prospects and problems of Arunachal Pradesh, the statement said.
