Jagdalpur: Two police constables were killed and five others injured on October 12 evening in a landmine explosion by Naxalites near Cherpalli village under the Bijapur police district.

The Bijapur superintendent of police, Amit Kumar, said the jawans were travelling in a jeep when the landmine exploded.

Kumar said the jawans were providing security to the Border Roads Organisation personnel.
