Biharsharif (Bihar): About 10 persons including a woman were killed and nine others injured when a minibus collided head-on with a truck near Manglasthan on Patna- Ranchi National Highway in Bihar's Nalanda district on October 13, police said.

The accident took place when the driver of the over-crowded minibus coming to Biharsharif from Deepnagar lost control over the vehicle and dashed against a speeding Ranchi-bound truck coming from the opposite direction.

About 10 persons, including the woman identified as Sheela Devi (30), died on the spot, police said.

Nine persons, including an eight-year old child, were admitted to district sadar hospital, Nalanda civil surgeon Ram Yatan Rai said.
