Mufti arrives in Delhi for talks with Sonia

New Delhi: People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has been called for a meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi to formalise a strategy on government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sayeed arrived at Gandhi's residence at 20:30 hours for the meeting where other senior Congress leaders Manmohan Singh, Ambika Soni, Arjun Singh and Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Ghulam Nabi Azad are also present.

Earlier, a meeting of Congress Working Committee (CWC) was held for an hour to discuss details of the formation of the coalition government.

This followed a meeting of the PDP chief with Congress economic think-tank Manmohan Singh at his residence where Ambika Soni and Azad were also present in the morning.
