'2002 JK polls bloodiest ever in state history'
It was fiercest and bloodiest elections in the militancy-torn Jammu and Kashmir. Of the last eight elections in the state, 2002 Assembly polls have seen the maximum incidents of violence with Pakistan sponsored terrorists desperate to disrupt the electoral process, highly placed sources in the Kashmir police said.

6 militants killed in J&K, Army Major injured
Srinagar: Six militants were killed and an Army Major was among five persons injured in separate militancy-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir where ultras exploded an improvised explosive device (IED) and hurled grenades at security pickets since October 12 night.
