Vadodara: One person sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two communities at Zalod town of Dohad district in Gujarat late on October 14 night over a petty issue, police said on October 15.

Trouble started over purchasing of mutton from a shop owned by member of minority community. A tribal youth who bought the meat was not happy with his purchase and argued with the trader, police told reporters in Vadodara.

This led to the clash between members of two communities who pelted stones at each other, police said adding somebody resorted to firing in which one person was injured.

About 27 persons have been arrested in connection with the incident, police said.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and the situation in the town is under control, police added.
