Ranchi: The toll on October 15 mounted to 14 in the boat capsize in the Getalsud reservoir on the outskirts of the Jharkhand capital.

Thirteen bodies were fished out by rescuers on October 15, while another had been recovered hours after the capsize on October 14, deputy commissioner Jaishanker Tiwari said.

The district administration has announced Rs 10,000 ex gratia for the next of kin of the dead.

Eyewitnesses however, claimed that there were around 30 people on the boats.
