President A P J Abdul Kalam turns 72

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam turned 72 on October 15.

Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee rang up Kalam, who is on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh and greeted him and wished many happy returns of the day.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Bhai Mahavir and Chief Minister Digvijay Singh have extended hearty greetings to Kalam.

Wishing Kalam a happy and illustrious long life, the Governor, in a message, said the country has got a quality leadership in the sphere of science and technology.

In his greetings, Singh said Kalam is a noble and kind-hearted person who has done the country proud by his unmatched talent.

Andhra Pradesh Governor C Rangarajan in his message said "the country needs Kalam's guidance and wisdom".
