New Delhi: Government-owned oil companies on October 16 announced a 33 to 53 paise
hike per litre of petrol and 32 to 57 paise per litre increase in diesel price from
midnight.
Petrol would cost Rs 30.24 a litre in Delhi as against the prevailing Rs 29.91 per
litre, while diesel price will increase to Rs 19.23 per litre from Rs 18.91, a
spokesperson of the Indian Oil Corporation said.
This is the fourth consecutive fortnight that prices of transport fuel have been
hiked to offset the effect of high international crude prices.
