Mumbai: A sessions court October 16 rejected the bail plea of film actor Salman
Khan, charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder in a hit-and-run case.
Salman's bail petition was rejected by sessions judge P V Bavkar, who felt that the
actor should not be enlarged at this stage because investigations were still
incomplete and prosecution had opposed his liberty on the ground that he may tamper
with witnesses.
The actor was arrested on October 7 after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into a
shop, killing one person and injuring four others on September 28.
This was for the third time that Salman had urged for bail. His plea for bail has
been rejected twice by a magistrate earlier.
