Busan: Indian athlete Sunita Rani has been stripped of her gold medal with her
second sample to failing the dope test on Tuesday, according to agency reports. Rani
was immediately stripped of her Asian Games medals by the organising committee.
Rani had tested positive for Nandrolone, a steroid which assists muscle-building, in
urine samples taken after winning the gold medal in a record time in the women's
1,500 and the bronze in the 5,000 metres.
A second test on 'B' sample taken from her showed the same results, according to an
official from the Asian Games' doping control centre.
