Colombo: A Sri Lankan airforce jet fighter crashed in North Western Sri Lanka on October 22 during a training mission, airforce officials said.

The pilot managed to eject himself from the Israeli-built Kfir jet just before the aircraft hit the ground, and there were no immediate reports of casualties on the ground.
