Shimla: The Election Commission would shortly take a decision on holding Assembly polls in Gujarat.

"The situation was being monitored and any decision about holding Assembly polls in the state would be taken shortly," Election Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy, who is here in connection with preparations for Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls, told reporters on October 22.
