Kanpur: Five members of the Chhota Rajan gang were arrested by Etawa police on October 23, a senior police official said.

The five, arrested in connection with the murder of an accused in court premises in September 2000, have confessed that they were members of the Chhota Rajan gang, DIG R R Bhatnagar said.

One Suresh Pal Singh, an accused in the murder of an Advocate and three members of his family, was shot dead by the five arrested persons in the court premises, he said.

Two police constables were seriously injured in the incident.
