Patna: Four extremists were killed and one was injured in a fierce encounter between
Ranvir Sena and Communist Party of India – Marxist-Leninist (CPI-ML) (Liberation)
ultras in Bhojpur district of Bihar on October 25.
Inspector general (operations) Neelmani said two activists of both the rival outfits
were killed in the encounter at Gormuri village.
Another CPI-ML (Liberation) activist who suffered injuries in the encounter was
admitted to Sadar hospital in Ara.
Ranvir Sena, a private militia of landlords, and the CPI-ML (Liberation) are locked
in a war of attrition in Central Bihar.
Tension was running high in Sikarhatta police station area after the incident and
senior police officers were camping at the spot.
