Srinagar: Thirteen people including, seven militants and three Army personnel and a
policeman were killed in Jammu and Kashmir where ultras attacked a police picket
set-up for protection of minorities injuring two officials since October 29 night, an
official spokesman said in Srinagar on October 30.
Three militants and two Army personnel were killed in an encounter at Saldhar-Gool
area of Udhampur district. The exchange of fire between the militants and the
security personnel in the area is on since October 28.
Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants identified as Hyder Ali Imran and Nasrullah were
killed in another gunfight with security personnel at Kantpora in Kupwara district,
he said.
Two unidentified ultras were killed during separate search operations by security
forces at Badigam village in Pulwama district and Mati-Gawran in Anantnag district on
October 30, while an Army personnel was killed in an exchange of fire at Ban-Loran
area of Poonch district.
