Bangalore: The Frankfurt Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) has succeeded in wooing two more Indian software companies to open their offices in the German city during Bangalore IT.com, Asia's leading IT event.

"During the IT.com, two more Indian software companies decided to open their offices in Frankfurt," executive director of the FEDC, Sibylle Herforth, told reporters on November 1.

She said the two were headquartered in Bangalore, India's technology capital, but declined to give further details about them, saying a formal announcement is scheduled next week.

As many as 12 of the 35 Frankfurt-based Indian companies are among the top 20 Indian software exporters, Herforth said, adding Frankfurt is Germany's favourite business location of Indian IT companies.

According to her, the biggest share of German Greencard issues for Indian IT experts went to Frankfurt.
