LTTE-Lanka talks make significant breakthrough

Islamabad: Pakistan Cabinet headed by President Pervez Musharraf has decided to hold the inaugural session of the newly-elected National Assembly on November 6 and complete the process of transfer of power to the elected representatives by November 14.
Talks resume despite jail term for Prabhakaran
Nakhon Pathom (Thailand): Tamil Tigers and the Sri Lankan government on November 1 began the second day of peace talks, despite a 200-year jail sentence slapped on Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) chief Prabhakaran by the Sri Lankan High Court.
