Phnom Penh: In a last minute addition to his tour of Southeast Asia, Prime Minister
Atal Behari Vajpayee would now visit Thailand on November 8 to hold talks with his
counterpart Thaksin Shinawatra.
Vajpayee, who is on a five-day visit to Cambodia and Laos, would make a halt at
Bangkok for over three hours for "official talks" at the Thai Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, officials said on November 4 night.
The Prime Minister was earlier scheduled to arrive in New Delhi at around 16:00
hours (IST) on November 8 and with the change in schedule, he would return to the
capital later that evening.
Issues relating to bilateral co-operation on security and economic matters are
likely to figure in the talks, they said.
