India tells Pak to accept terrorists' bodies

New Delhi: India on November 8 asked Pakistan to accept the bodies of the two terrorists killed in an encounter with Delhi Police in a posh shopping mall in New Delhi on November 3 maintaining that they were Pakistani nationals.

Pakistan's Charge d' Affaires Jaleel Abbas Jilani was asked by the External Affairs Ministry in New Delhi to take up the matter with the Pakistan government and "ascertain if they were willing to accept the bodies for final rites."

The two terrorists were identified as Dawood, aged between 20-25 years, alias Abu Anas, son of Ali Ahmed, resident of Bhumba Kalan village and Ezaz, also aged between 20 and 25 years, son of Mohd Azam, resident of Nishara Rhad, Gujranwalary. Both belong to Pak's Punjab province.

Jilani was told that the two terrorists were identified on the basis of scrutiny of diaries, other documents and information, an External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said.
