Pak refuses to accept bodies of slain terrorists
Friday, November 8 2002 20:24 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Pakistan on November 8 night refused to accept the bodies of two terrorists killed in a shoot out with Delhi police in an upmarket shopping complex on November 3, saying that they were not Pakistani nationals.

"We think as has been extensively reported in the Indian media, the so-called incident was a fake encounter," Pakistan's Charge d'Affaires Jaleel Abbas Jilani said when contacted.

"Obviously, Pakistan cannot accept the fake evidence invented by the Delhi police," he said when asked about the details about addresses of the two terrorists furnished by the government.

The two have been identified as Dawood, aged 20-25 from Kasoor district and Ezaz, also of the same age group, from Gujranwala.

"So, we reject the Indian contention that the so-called terrorists were Pakistani nationals," Jilani said.
