New Delhi: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani took exception to Dhaka's sharp reaction
to his statement expressing concern over the growing activities of al-Qaida and
Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in Bangladesh.
"I don't know why they are reacting like this. I had just said there were reports
about growing activities of al-Qaida and ISI in Bangladesh after the change of the
government," Advani told reporters at an informal get-together organised to
felicitate senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader J P Mathur.
Earlier on November 9, Bangladesh rejected Advani's charges and said it wanted warm
ties with its neighbour.
