New Delhi: Six days after the Ansal Plaza shootout, post-mortem was on November 9
conducted on the bodies of the two Pakistani terrorists killed in the encounter with
police.
The post-mortem was carried out on the bodies of Dawood Ali and Ezaz at the All
India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) by a three-member team of doctors
after "receipt of all clearances", Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell)
Neeraj Kumar said.
He said the post-mortem report would be available in three days and would answer all
questions raised about the encounter.
The bodies are being handed over to the Delhi Wakf Board for performance of last
rites as Pakistan has refused to claim them, Kumar said.
India on November 8 asked Pakistan to take the bodies but it refused to accept them
claiming they were not its nationals.
Delhi police, on the basis of scrutiny of the three dairies and other documents
recovered from the slain terrorists, concluded that Dawood and Ezaz hailed from
Punjab province of Pakistan.
Their specific addresses have been provided to Pakistan.
