Mount Abu: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on November 9 said her party has an open mind on alliances with like minded secular parties but its primary objective is to strengthen the party to come to power on its own.

"Our main objective is to strengthen the party, but we do not have a closed mind on working with like minded secular parties," Gandhi told reporters after the conclusion of the two-day conclave of Congress Chief Ministers in Mount Abu.
