Mirza wins Union Cement ITF/Phi tennis title

Hyderabad: Coming from behind, fifteen-year old Sania Mirza of India defeated Tiong Wang (China) 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the finals to win the Union Cement ITF/Phi Women's circuit tournament at Manila, Philippines, according to information reaching here on Monday.

After dropping the first set at 2-6, Sania had put a spirited fight to bounce back into the game from a hopeless 0-4 to 6-4 to win the second set in style.

Stretching the form further, Sania halted the brave challenge of Wang to grab the match winner at 7-5 and was richer by $ 10,000.
