Srinagar: Militants hurled a grenade towards the office of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) at Rajbagh in Srinagar on November 11 evening with its leader Shabir Ahmad Shah describing the attack as an attempt to create hurdles in the talks for resolution of Kashmir issue.

Militants hurled the grenade at the DFP office at Rajbagh around 18:00 hours (IST), which landed on the main gate of the premises, causing no damage to life and property, party sources said.

Shah, who was not present at the office at the time of the attack, said these acts are the handiwork of intelligence agencies aimed at creating hurdles in peace talks for resolution of Kashmir issue.

"They (agencies) do not want anyone to raise the voice for freedom of Kashmir. These attacks are stage-managed to intimidate us. It is nothing new and has happened before also," he added.

Shah reiterated his resolve to stand by principle of finding a negotiated solution to Kashmir problem.
