Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee New Delhi: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee tonight (Nov 14) convened a special meeting to discuss the Naga peace process and the on-going talks with the major insurgent group, National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN).

Various issues relating to the initiation of a political process with NSCN (I-M) leaders, Isak Chisi Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah, figured at the meeting, informed sources said.

Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, Centre's emissary for the Naga talks K Padmanabhaiah and senior officials attended the meeting.

Swu and Muivah, who have agreed to come to India to further the peace process, have demanded that the ban on NSCN (I-M) be lifted and cases against them withdrawn.

Padmanabhaiah has been meeting the NSCN (I-M) leadership in Bangkok and Amsterdam in the past few years.

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has also met Swu and Muivah in Bangkok to further the political process with them.

In another development, Advani held a meeting with top Home Ministry officials on the progress made in the peace talks with the Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT), who have been insisting on inclusion of some more villages in the proposed Bodoland Autonomous Council territory.
