Mandya: Lok Sabha Member of the Parliament (MP) Ambareesh on November 15 said that there was "no second thought about withdrawing his resignation", which was tendered to Congress president Sonia Gandhi recently.

Ambareesh told reporters on November 14 that he had acted as per his views expressed during the Cauvery agitation that if water was released from KRS to Tamil Nadu, he would "sacrifice" his post.

"While Chief Minister S M Krishna convinced me to withdraw my resignation, I want to live up to my words," he said.

"Cauvery is not a recent dispute. It is a century-old crisis and it should be solved through mutual dialogues," Ambareesh said.
