VHP leaders Togadia, Dharmendra released
Sunday, November 17 2002 16:58 Hrs (IST)

Ahmedabad: VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) International general secretary Praveen Togadia and Acharya Dharmendraji Maharaj, arrested outside Somnath Temple in Ahmedabad on November 17 while trying to proceed to Godhra for VHP's "padshahi yatra", were released this afternoon.

Talking to reporters immediately after the release, Togadia said that future course of action will be decided and declared on November 18.

He reiterated that VHP will go to every town and village of Gujarat to spread the message of Hindutva.

The VHP leaders were arrested this morning when they defied the Election Commission ban on their proposed yatra from sensitive Godhra town and tried to proceed there after performing puja of "paaduka" of Swami Ramdas.
