Srinagar: Five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and two militants were killed and some jawans injured when ultras attacked a security camp in the heart of the city on November 22 morning, police said.

Unidentified militants, believed to be fidayeen, attacked the camp located at a hotel in Regal Chowk area around 06:45 hours (IST), leading to a fierce gunbattle between the two sides, they said.

The entire area has been cordoned off and search operations were on, they added.
