Ahmedabad: Gujarat caretaker Chief Minister Narendra Modi was on November 23 advised
to take "further rest" by doctors at the U N Mehta Heart Institute, who asked him to
remain in the hospital for the night.
Dr Samir Dani, senior cardiologist at the Institute who is attending on Modi, said
the angiography report is "almost normal" and he needs medication and rest.
Dani said stress and exertion are the real problems Modi is facing because of his
hectic political schedule in the recent past.
Almost all tests conducted on Modi were normal but as a precautionary measure he
will remain under observation for another 12 hours, Dani said.
Modi was admitted in the Gandhinagar civil hospital on November 21 night following
body-ache and exertion. He was shifted to the U N Mehta Institute for all cardiac-
related tests.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Governor Sunder Singh Bhandari, senior party leaders and
supporters paid visit to the ailing Chief Minister and enquired about his
health.
