Musharraf hopes India will talk with new govt
Islamabad: Accusing India of creating hurdles in developing relations during his three-year military rule, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on November 23 hoped New Delhi would resume talks with the new civilian government headed by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.
Ranil leaves for Oslo; govt, LTTE appeal for aid
Colombo: Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left for Oslo on November 23 to seek global support for the Sri Lankan peace process even as the government and the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) issued their first-ever joint appeal for international aid to reconstruct the war-torn country.
