Chennai: The sleuths of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) on
November 28 raided houses of three former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) ministers
K Anbazhagan, K N Nehru and I Periyasamy in the city and other parts of the state.
DVAC sources said while Anbazhagan's houses in the city were raided in connection
with 'irregularities' in allotting seats in the teachers' training institutes in the
state, the houses of Nehru and Periyasamy were being searched in connection
with 'wealth cases'.
Fourteen places of Nehru in several parts of the state including two at Chennai were
subject to the raids simultaneously while 14 places in Dindigul district belonging
to Periyasamy were being raided. The raids began at 9.00 am (IST), DVAC sources
said.
