Jammu: Pakistani troops resorted to mortar shelling and firing in some areas of Bhawani sector in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir since November 27 night, official sources said on November 38.

Pakistani troops targeted some forward areas with mortar shells in Bhawani sector since late in the evening, to which Indian troops retaliated and the exchange of shelling continued till early morning, the sources said.

However, there was no report of any loss or damage on the Indian side, they said.

Small arms intermittent firing between Pakistani rangers and Border Security Force (BSF) troops along the international border was also reported from some areas of Jammu and Kathua districts during the last 24 hours, the sources added.
