Sena leader surrenders in Jhajjar lynching case

Rohtak: The Jhajjar district president of Shiv Sena, Sheeshpal, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in the case of lynching of five Dalits, on November 28 surrendered in a court.

Sheeshpal was formally arrested and remanded to judicial custody by a Jhajjar court till December 12.

With this, the total number of arrests in the case has risen to 17.

Chief judicial magistrate Sanjiv Jindal had on November 27 issued arrest warrant against the Sena leader and 15 others.

The court also extended till December 12 the judicial custody of eight other accused who were produced in the court on expiry of their remand on November 28.
