Ahmedabad: Congress president Sonia Gandhi will launch the party's campaign for the
Gujarat Assembly elections from North Gujarat on December 3.
Sonia will address a public meeting at Ambaji temple in Saurashtra and another at
Vadodara the same evening, according to All India Congress Committee (AICC) general
secretary, Kamal Nath.
The Congress president, covering three parts of the state, will address a public
meeting in Surat on December 5 and another in Ahmedabad on December 8, close to the
end of the campaign.
Asked why Sonia would not be going to Godhra, Kamal Nath said Congress is strong in
Godhra, but hastened to add, that does not mean that the party is weak at other
places.
