Friday, November 30 2002 11:51 Hrs (IST)

Pune: President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam on November 30 wished cadets of the National Defence Academy (NDA) all success in their life in the defence services and urged them to uphold the tenets of the institution.

Addressing newly commissioned cadets after reviewing the passing out parade of the 103rd course of NDA, Kalam said, "unity of mind, hard work and honesty were the three virtues that the academy expected its students to imbibe."

Impressed by the beautiful surroundings of the campus the President said, "The environment was conducive to creativity and that a creative mind was an asset to the nation."

Kalam congratulated all the cadets for successfully completing their course and also asked them to urge their children to join the academy in future.

He said, he was happy to be here as it was his childhood dream to be an IAF pilot.

On arrival the President was received by Air Marshal A K Trikha, commandant NDA.
