Madurai: The Janata Party president Dr Subramanian Swamy has been invited by Pakistani President Pervez Musharaff to visit that country.

The invitation was extended to Dr Swamy through the acting High Commissioner of Pakistan in India Jaleel Abbas Jilam, Dr Swamy told reporters in Madurai on December 1.

Dr Swamy, said he had expressed his wish to visit Pakistan by car through Wagah border and had sought the permission of the Union Home Ministry.

The details of the visit were being worked out, he said.
