Kohima: Police have recovered heroin, worth Rs 50 lakh, and arrested two persons, including a Manipur policeman, in the Southern part of Kohima district in Nagaland, police sources said.

The 500 gram heroin of 'grade A' quality was recovered from the two during routine check of a bus at Khuzama check gate in southern part of Kohima district, adjoining Manipur, on December 6, the sources said.

The two arrested persons, a woman and an employee of Manipur police, admitted during interrogation that they took possession of the consignment at Manipur border town Moreh and boarded a bus plying on Imphal-Guwahati route.
