New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna on December 8 described the killing
of Janata Dal (United) leader H Nagappa as an "unexpected" development and said all
out efforts would be made in collaboration with Tamil Nadu to capture forest brigand
Veerappan.
Krishna, who is in the capital, told reporters that he had spoken to Tamil Nadu
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa after the death of Nagappa was discovered and she has
agreed to extend all co-operation in nabbing Veerappan.
"This is an emotive issue none of us expected this development," he said.
"From now onwards, all out efforts will be made with the help of Tamil Nadu's
Special Task Force (STF) and Central government to nab Veerappan," said the
Karnataka Chief Minister, who came here from Gujarat and will to Bangalore on
December 9 morning.
