Bangalore: A team of doctors assisted by forensic experts on December 9 morning conducted post mortem on the body of former Karnataka Minister H Nagappa, who was killed in tragic end to the 106-day-old hostage crisis.

The inquest was conducted at Ramapura government hospital, official sources said here.

The body of Nagappa would be taken to his native village Kamagere, about 50 kms away from Ramapura later in the day for performing last rites.

Surcharged atmosphere continued to prevail in Kamagere, Kollegal, Hanur and Chamarajnagar, but no untoward incident has been reported, police said.
