Gaya: In a gruesome incident, one person was killed and another grievously injured when military personnel travelling by up Sialdah-Jammu Tawi express threw them out of the running train into river Loar Morhar here for entering their bogey on December 8 night, Railway sources said on December 9

They said the incident took place when two passengers hailing from Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district, who had got down at the Gaya junction to have food, entered the military bogey in a hurry as the 3,151 up Sialdah-Jammu Tawi train left the station.

The military personnel did not take kindly to their entry into the bogey and asked them to immediately vacate it. The hapless passengers tried in vain to convince them that they would go to their seats at the next station.

An exchange of words followed and in anger the military personnel threw them out while the train was crossing Loar Morhar river under the Gaya-Mughalsarai division of East Central railway.

The Railway police with the help of local police fished out the victims Raj Kumar Pandey and Ram Niwas Pandey and brought them to Paraiyya station. While the former was found dead, the latter was grievously injured and has been admitted to a government hospital here, they said. The Railway police has registered an First Information Report (FIR).
