67 Bangladeshis held near Jammu border

Jammu: 67 nationals of Bangladesh have been arrested near the international border (IB) in Jammu district while exfiltrating to Pakistan clandestinely, official sources said on December 11.

A batch of Bangladeshis comprising 35 males, 12 women and 20 children were taken into custody by security forces in Nikki Tawi area on December 10 when they were moving towards IB to crossover to Pakistan in the wee hours on December 10, the sources said.

This was the third group of Bangladeshis trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan during the last one week.

Earlier, eight Bangladeshis were arrested on December 5 and 30 of them on December 7 while exfiltrating to Pakistan via Samba sector.
