Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna, who is under attack from Opposition
parties for the government's alleged failure to save JD-U (Janata Dal-United) leader
H Nagappa's life, on December 11 accused them of "indulging in double talk" and said
they would be "exposed".

Taking strong exception to the statements by Opposition parties charging the
government of "mishandling" the hostage crisis, Krishna told reporters that the
legislature session has been convened to give a befitting reply to the allegations
and to "set the record straight".
A day after Nagappa's dead body was recovered from the forest, Krishna had lambasted
the Opposition and demanded them to explain, "why they pressurised the government to
call off STF (Special Task Force) operations against the bandit".
Krishna, during the 106-day abduction crisis of Nagappa had consulted Opposition and
family members of the JD-U leader and confided with them on the initiates being made
by the government in resolving the hostage episode.
Krishna said the government was determined to capture the forest bandit Veerappan
"dead or alive" adding that STF operations were in full swing.
