Srinagar: Three Army jawans were injured, one of them seriously, in a powerful blast by militants here early on December 12 morning, official sources said.

The bomb, planted by militants on a bicycle near a private educational institute in Rajbagh area, went off around 07:20 hours (IST) injuring three jawans and damaging the Army vehicle, they said.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and a massive operation has been launched to nab the ultras, they said, adding no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the incident.

The injured jawans were rushed to the Army hospital and one of them was "serious", they added.
