New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) on December 13 said it would
appeal against the Malaysian High Court order rejecting extradition of Italian
businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, one of the main accused in the Rs 64 crore Bofors
payoff case.
A CBI spokesman said, "We are not surprised by the judgment and we are moving Court
of Appeal against the judgment."
Court of Appeal is equivalent to Supreme Court in the country.
The spokesman said that both the Sessions Court and Kuala Lumpur High Court had
rejected India's plea on technical grounds.
