New Delhi: Karnataka Home Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge on December 13 said the state government along with neighbouring Tamil Nadu were determined to nab forest brigand Veerappan dead or alive.

"The operation against Veerappan is going on for the last 15 to 16 years. This time both the governments, Karnataka and Tamilnadu are determined to nab Veerappan dead or alive," Kharge told reporters after meeting Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani.

He was responding to questions why the two states failed to nab Veerappan. He said that Centre has also assured all cooperation in operation Veerappan.

Asked if the Centre was ready to provide special equipment to nab Veerappan, who is hiding in jungles, Kharge said it was left to the Special Task Force (STF) to decide.

About the ongoing controversy over the post-mortem of killed Janata Dal (U) leader H Nagappa, he said doctors were examining it and once the report was available, it would be made public.
