Floral tributes paid to Parliament attack heroes

New Delhi: Floral tributes were paid to security personnel who laid down their lives while repulsing the terrorist attack on Parliament House on December 13 last year.

Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi, leader of Opposition Sonia Gandhi and other senior leaders visited the site, which witnessed the fierce gunbattle with terrorists and offered flowers at the portraits of brave heroes.

US Ambassador Robert Blackwill also visited Parliament House to offer floral tributes.

Advani spoke to the New Delhi Television (NDTV) cameraman Vikram Singh Bisht, who was seriously injured in the attack, as also some of the widows of the Delhi police personnel.
