New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on December 14 night said he expects
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to retain power in the state, where the counting of
votes for the Assembly elections begins on December 15.
Talking to a TV channel, Modi, who took over as Chief Minister last year from
Keshubhai Patel, said, "As all political pundits are analysing, their body language
and actions indicate that they have accepted a BJP win."
On the other hand, Gujarat Congress president Narhari Amin said that his party
expects to bag about 100-105 seats and specially increase its tally in Saurasthra,
North and South Gujarat.
